Uppai was the son of Chacko Kuriakko Mutholath. He was born in 1887 at Cherpunkal in Mutholath family. He married Aley Nalliveettil from Punnathura. He was a good farmer and businessman. After marriage he lived with his family in Kulappurath property.
Uppai died on December 31, 1960 at his house in Cherpunkal. His burial was on January 01, 1961. Aley lived longer and died on January 09, 1981 in Kidangoor Little Lourde Hospital.

ഉപ്പായി മുത്തോലത്ത് (കുളപ്പുറത്ത്)
മുത്തോലത്തു ചാക്കോയുടെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ മകനായി 1887ൽ ജനിച്ച ഉപ്പായി കുളപ്പുറത്തു പുരയിടത്തിൽ താമസിച്ചുപോന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം പുന്നത്തുറ നല്ലിവീട്ടിൽ ഏലിയെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തു. അവർക്ക് മറിയക്കുട്ടി (പഴയടത്ത്, വള്ളീച്ചിറ), ചാക്കോ, തൊമ്മി, കുര്യാച്ചൻ, ചിന്ന (വെട്ടിക്കാട്ട്, നീണ്ടൂർ) എന്നീ മക്കൾ ജനിച്ചു. മക്കൾ ഏല്ലാവരും നല്ല നിലയിൽ വിവാഹിതരായി.
