Philipkunju is the eldest son of Thomachan Chennathil-Polackal at Punnathura and Annamma Mattappallil in June 1963.
He married Shanti daughter of Thomas from Mulamattathil family in Kattappana on July 10, 1994.
Shanti was born in May 1971. Children of Philip and Shanti are Tomin, Tinu, and Tony.
